I loaned Zach the last DVD of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya this weekend. I got a call from him tonight. He asked me, “Julian, do you know how The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya ended?” Funniest. Thing. Ever. We talked about the last episode for a bit and came to the same conclusion: it didn’t really end, it just stopped. This doesn’t seem so weird considering the last episode was actually aired as episode nine and the final episode to air was actually episode seven, where Kyon figures out the Snow White riddle with Haruhi. Still, I was glad that he called and thought that the last episode seemed in a rather odd spot.
