Scrobbled
Wednesday, July 25th, 2007Lately, I’ve been having an enormous amount of fun playing on my Last.fm. I’ve had an account for quite a while, but not done a lot more than just have Banshee scrobble for me. I’ve finally started listening to the radio of my neighbors, playing with playlists, and scrobbling the music that I play on my portable player. Logging what I listen to at work has upped my scrobbled count tremedously, since many days I’m using Banshee when I’m at home, but watching DVDs or playing video games. I’m getting better recommendations, too. I’m thinking that when WiFi becomes more ubiquitous this will be a major competitor to traditional radio. That’s a ways off, though.
I talked with Josh a bit tonight. It was nice, because it was the first time that I’ve talked to him since he made the trek to Idaho. He has a job, and he says that the area that he lives in is awesome. He said that the place that he was living was okay. I guess it’s nicer than where he was living, but I think he’s ready to stop renting. I hope that everything continues to work out for him and his girlfriend there.
I’m starting to freak out about a project that I have at work now. Previously, I’ve been too busy with other stuff to really get the chance to freak out about it. Last time I did any major work was probably in May. We’re supposed to begin testing on August 3, which is coming way too fast. I’m probably going to be coding like mad next week, pawning off every last task I can onto coworkers. I hate to do that, but I’ve got to at least get things closer than they are. Things will all work out, I guess.
The weekend after our testing begins is Anime Iowa, which will be a really good relaxer.
