The theme for the last two weeks has been “overworked.” Lately, it seems like no matter how much extra time I’m putting in at work, I just can’t seem to get ahead. I could probably be a little more effective with some of the time that I spend at work, but not terribly. I’ve been too busy to be ineffective lately. It looks like I will be busy for the rest of the week. I’m hoping that next week I can get some time in to really tackle and eliminate some of the items on my development list. Right now, all I’m getting done is covering for a coworker on vacation and support requests.
I don’t mean to sound like I’m complaining that a coworker is on vacation, because everyone deserves vacation and I believe that if I’m offered time off that I shouldn’t come back to twice as much work when I return—that time should be covered. More than anything, I’m just suprised how much work I’ve been covering.
With the small amount of time that I have had to spend at home each night, I’ve watched all of Shrine of the Morning Mist and I’m just about through Pretear. I’ve really enjoyed both of these series. The magical girl anime tide is high lately around here, I guess.
In other otaku-related news, Jessica, Mandar and myself have decided to go to Anime Nebraskon in November. It should be a good time. The convention should have less than one-thousand people and is not held at a hotel, so it will be interesting to see what a convention that size operates like. I’m excited to take the trip and geek out.
I think that it’s time to call it a day, though. I am starting to yawn as I’m thinking about what’s happened recently.
