Operation 125
Seriously, I have got to stop staying up so late. I’m getting the proper number of hours of sleep, but I’m not getting what my body needs. I’ve been trying to kill off a cold for a while now. When I wake up, I feel like shit in the morning. The plan is to sleep in tomorrow and let my body recuperate so that I can hopefully get over this cold. I think that this cold is making it harder to drag my ass out of bed in the morning.
Work’s been okay, except for a couple of jobs that I’ve done variable laser setups for. Things are changing too late in the process, and jobs that should take maybe an afternoon take the afternoon to do all but one version and then I have to do revisions and changes for the next day plus the last copy.
Yesterday, I spent time working on correcting a potential issue because the print room operator didn’t use an image shift when using a different machine than I proofed from. If the machine wasn’t a total bitch to get a proof to and setup, I would have just proofed on that machine; it’s actually a nicer machine. Unfortunately, they modified the trays in the machine such that the software’s diagrams show the old trays instead of the new trays. It’s very hard to figure out which tray three to use when there are two tray threes and that tray four doesn’t need stock, because there is no tray four.
I’m probably going to spend the afternoon writing some form validation scripts for a report I’m doing and to get them added to my general toolbox of web development stuff. I’ve not had enough time to write general toolkit sort of scripts as many projects have been needing to go production immediately.
There was more to say, but I need to get back to work as my lunch time is over.

Joy!
I had 2 days of a learning seminar on Windows Server 2003 earlier this week. I’m getting into networking and system administration stuff that I’d hoped I’d never see. At least I got 12 CECs (continuing education credits) out of it.
BTW.. did you know that when you type long sentances in the comment box.. it extends into the right side-bar area where the calendar is, so you can’t see what you’re typing? Well.. now you do!
