Forbidden Culture

I won a CD from the radio station today at work. Someone won a contest and we got free food and prizes.

You know what disgusts me? The FBI Anti-Piracy Warning logo on the back of the disc. I’ve seen it on some other CDs too, but it just bothers me. It’s a lot like the warnings placed on home videos. Scare tactics just don’t seem right on pieces of culture.

We had an “Ice Cream Social” like 2 weeks ago. The owners of the buildings we rent our office space from does this every summer. They bring their ice cream truck around and they give out free ice cream and then prizes from a ticket drawing. Only problem, they never say when they are gonna get here, they just show up.

This year, Tina and Jenny were outside bitching about something/one as they like to do, and the ice cream truck pulled up. As opposed to coming in and telling everyone else that the truck was here, they gave them their tickets for the drawing and since there were two prizes and only two tickets, they won. No one else got ice cream, no one else had a chance. Hell, we didnt even know they were there (and gone) till those two came back inside, all giddy about winning. Everyone else in the office were all like WHAT??

You’re lucky to get a CD. I wish I won free stuff. :-P

Julian should post an update. Like.. did he or did he not get internet access at home, and how happy is it.

He should also email me and tell me if he’s available to be seen this weekend. I might cry if I don’t get to see him.
