And He Shall Be My Squishy

Wednesday, September 1st, 2004

Dinner with Trever on Friday was good. He seems to have humbled himself a bit. He no longer seems to force his worldviews on to people. Dean said that some of the private conversations that they had while in line for their food at HuHot were a bit more grown up in terms of respect than he’s had in the past. All in all, it was a good time.

Beth comes back this weekend. Something is going on on Saturday. I don’t know. I guess there’s been a big push to plan some large ordeal. Honestly, I could care less what happens. Hanging out will be good, but, beyond that, I can survive without specifics. Whatever happens happens, I guess, and we’ll be together for it so I feel like the important part is taken care of. Good times, I’m sure.

I thought of a neat software idea when painting yesterday. I wrote all the specifics down, but to summarize it’s a .NET library/interface to do settings management taking advantage of the host platform’s native settings management system. That way, when writing a cross-platform application, you can save setting either to a file or using whatever method the operating system uses. I think it’s neat, and I’m wanting to work on it. We’ll see what happens.
