Exciting News!
Tuesday, February 10th, 2004I just wrote a neat new Java program that uses XML-RPC to places posts on a website using the Blogger API. It wasn’t all that hard after all. XML-RPC makes things relatively easy. The hardest part is knowing what kind of data structure comes back from the server when a struct is returned.
The biggest problem is that there are a lot of UI niceties that I would like to fix. Then there’s settings and implementing all of the parts of the API. Still, I got Blogger’s newPost method implemented and the b2.getCategories method implemented without much trouble. This could be a fun project if I have the time for it. (As a matter of fact, I’m writing this from within the program!).
I went to see the lawyer for Youth Alliance today. He has a suspicion that we weren’t incorporated after all. This would mean that we’re lacking legal protection as a non-profit corporation. The lawyer was really nice, though. He just let me pick his brain on things that we should know and said that he’d get things straightened out.
I need to do a lot of reading tomorrow. Eck. I’m behind in all of my classes except for philosophy for readings. Unfortunately, these are classes where I feel like I should be doing the reading. Tests next week too. Double eck.
