Twenty-Three Sentences

Sunday, December 28th, 2003

It’s been a while. Like ten days. What with the end of the semester and last minute shopping, I haven’t had much time to write recently. I haven’t really had the time to hop online in a while, either. Today I checked my e-mail. I had 147 pieces of spam. Thanks, spammers!

Christmas was pretty nice. I sat around and played Final Fantasy X-2 most of the day. I covered chapters two through five. I’m now too scared to progress through the game, because I think I missed stuff and I don’t want it to be over without me having all of my dress spheres. I’ve dubbed the motto of this game to be “not in this outfit.”

Grades came back. Everything was good except for classical studies. I fucked up the final big time. I got a shitty grade in the easiest fucking class ever, and I can’t retake it in the spring because it’s not offered. How crappy is that? I’m fairly embarassed about the entire ordeal.

I start work overnight tonight. It should be pretty fun. I’m dreading tonight, because I got up earlier than I wanted today. I’m already yawning, so we’ll have to see how this goes. All in all, though, it should be fun, and I’ll have the evenings off to go do stuff or play video games.

Let’s End This Madness!

Finals are done and over with. Yesterday’s theory of computing final was so-so. I don’t know what to expect of it. The final was early, and Jack has a smartass grin on his face the whole time like he knew something about the exam that we didn’t. Almost as if he had put an impossible problem on it. Oh wait! He did that on the second exam two weeks ago! I had almost forgot! Anyway, the grin was odd. Hopefully he was just satisfied with something or other.

This morning’s Greek and Roman myth final was okay. Beth and I studied hardcore last night. I didn’t have as much ease with it as the other exams, so I’m hoping to have done well. Regardless, I didn’t read the Orestia, so it’s not like I had even completed all of the readings. I did read Sophocles’ Electra yesterday afternoon, though. It was alright, surprisingly enough. I was ready to be bored to death by it.

The statistics final went okay. It could have been easier, and I should have stayed to correct any wrong answers since I finished 40 minutes early, but I heard the voice of Kim Mosby in my head saying, “Let’s end this madness.” I think I did okay on that exam, though. There was a really, really easy problem where we had to find the maximum, minimum, mean, mode, median, and range where she gave us the sum of the numbers and the quantity of numbers themselves. I know I at least got that problem.

I did some of the backlog of work I have for Youth Alliance this afternoon. I write a preliminary budget, asked about getting resevations for a meeting, wrote an e-mail about finances and employee issues, and I started a letter. The letter reads:

Dear Friends,

I’m not sure what else to put in the letter. I’m probably too tired to write any PR-y stuff this afternoon.
