Get Rich! Almost Quick!
I am incredibly tired. I was up until 2:00 a.m. doing statistics homework after study group for theory of computing. The statistics itself wasn’t so bad this week. I was able to tackle most of it in an unfrustrated manner, unlike last week. Of course, last week at this time I was about ready to go for a breakdown I was so frustrated with not understanding the homework. I talked to Heike and she explained it and I was happy again.
I’m considering getting a tutor for theory of computing. The fact is that while some things make sense, I feel like the homework should&emdash;or at least could&emdash;come much easier. I think that with the extra explanations I would have a better idea what’s important to know and how to do the things that I need to know how to do. It all sounds very obvious, but I guess what I’m trying to convey is that it wouldn’t take that much more to get where I would like to be in that class and a tutor might fit the ticket.
I saw Veronica on campus today. She all poked me while Luke and I were walking and I was all thinking, “Aaah! Who’s poking me?” Low and behold, it’s Veronica! We didn’t really discuss anything other than where we were headed, but it’s cool to see her. She just has this aura of excitement about her that’s nice.
Tonight, the plan is to work on the content management tools for Youth Alliance. I will play with the database for many an hour, probably cursing it because of some rediculous mistakes, like I always do. Thankfully, my biggest mistakes are usually silly ones and rarely related to more “serious” programming paradigms.
We get our next homework for advanced programming today. It’s the first of several homeworks to help us build a semester project. We’re making our own video poker games. Markus says that we can get rich by selling it as shareware for $10 a copy when we’re done. It should be a nice resume builder too.
