Doubleweek
Thursday, July 17th, 2003This week feels like it has been the longest week of my life. It’s really felt like it has flown by, but it feels like about two weeks have passed by in the place of one quick one.
I’m starting to get frustrated in English. I feel like I’m learning a whole lot of stuff, but I feel like I have nothing to actually show for it. It’d be nice to actually do well on an assignment. I feel like the entire class moves at a decent pace, but that there aren’t enough examples of what a finished document should look like or maybe not enough practice trying to create portions of finished documents. She’s getting better at that, though. I noticed that we actually got to do some small examples today. It should help.
Youth Alliance has dominated my time the last few days (if not the last month). I had a meeting on Tuesday and another on Wednesday. I have been reading volunteer packets over and over trying to make them perfect. Things are actually starting to come together. I think that after this next month the ball will be rolling such that enormous changes can start to take place within the organization. I’m also hoping that within the next month all of my files will be cleaned up a lot. The goal is to actually have a process in place for records.
I have an exam in algorithms tomorrow. I’m not sure what to think. I’m going to study for probably most of the evening, so I’m hoping to do fine. Still, I guess I can’t predict the exam itself.
I must nap, for this week has been a difficult one.
