It’s finally over. I have officially conquered the physics beast. It was an interesting journey, I will say that–from vectors and mechanics, to electricity, to pressure and thermodynamics, to electromagnetism, to the special theory of relativity, to quantum mechanics. Like the oroborus, everything has come full circle.
I actually ended physics the same way that it began: talking to my first recitation instructor, who is now teaching the first course on classical physics. She’s very nice and was glad to see that we had survived. Of course, she probably knew that I would, but at times it didn’t seem absolutely true. This was the case especially at the end of last semester, when, after screwing up a test on electricity, I wasn’t sure what physics course I would be taking the next semester, regardless of my grade on the final. I learned that one bad test score doesn’t ruin everything.
Math rules my world.
