Prioritize. Reorganize.

Wednesday, March 26th, 2003

This week has been really icky thus far in terms of school. I can’t seem to get anything done on time. I try and try, but I either fall asleep, or something else more important comes up. I hope it has to do with break and that everything will be okay next week. I am falling behind in some of my classes. Mainly the reading ones. I think I just need to prioritize my time a little better. I may need to do my reading before my more technical homework for a while, just so that I get caught up.

Last night we got two out of the three programming languages problems on our assignment done. What frustrated me, though, was that I worked on the first bullet of the first problem for two hours. It turns out that I had the problem right within the first fifteen minutes. I just didn’t know how to access the function and should have moved on. That was frustrating, but I understood what was going on, so I’m feeling more okay about that class at least.

I have a board meeting for Youth Alliance tonight. It should have lots of stuff going on at it. We need to elect a new president, get some web site details talked about (which could be scary), hash out what’s going on with prom not having anyone working on it, and the usual stuff. Then it’s back to Ames for either supplimental instruction or programming languages. I’m not really sure what’s going on. Dean requests my presence at his place on the way back, though. I wonder what that’s all about.

Crashing, Colliding Deadlines

Monday, March 24th, 2003

School started again today. I’m almost excited to be here. I think it has something to do with the weather. However, the coming deadlines are going to be scary and will collide in a giant mess any day now. There will be the Asian American cultures exam, which I must study and do a lot of reading for, the two research papers, Youth and Shelter Services updating, and all of the effort associated with learning electromagnetism. Hopefully all will go well.

Last night I tried to study magnetism in the library, but I couldn’t seem to focus. That’s probably due to being out of school all week. I’m hoping that today things will go better.

I also have delusional hopes of finishing up my normal work for the day somewhat early this evening so that I can get caught up on my reading. Of course, this never happens when I hope for it too. I guess we shall see.
