Still More…Fighting?

On Friday my parents and I went to look at cars. We found a nice Saturn, which is the car that I really want but could do without, that I made an offer on on Saturday. If the dealer comes down to what would work for me, I’ll get it. I’m hopeful, but skeptical at the same time. Dad decided that we should look at cars that were essentially out of my price range to start with, and see how far we can pull the dealer down. I figure he knows what he’s doing. Besides, I like the car.

About all that Dean and I did this weekend was eat. We went to a liquidation sale at Veteran’s Auditorium as well, but it sucked. I hadn’t heard anything about it, but Dean wanted to go, and there were supposed to be lots fo electronic stuff there. Of course, there wasn’t.

Last night I had every intention of reading for Spanish class. I did a reading out of one book, and went to go get me other book and complete the reading assignment. Upon looking in the sack that I keep all of this semester’s novel’s in, I found out that I had not purchased the book. However, like a good student, I did my reading for tomorrow instead so that I can get the book today and do Spanish reading this evening instead.

I have a programming languages test this week, and I’m kind of scared for it. I’m going to have to review a lot, because I want a good grade in that class.

Hi-ya!

Yesterday was good. I went to class, did a bad lab, and then I went to tutoring. Tutoring was pretty helpful. We managed to cover an entire chapter, which I wasn’t sure if we would really be able to do.

When I got home, I found a web site that should make my digital camera work with Linux after all. The trick was that I just needed to mount the damned thing. There’s a kickass script on the web that will mount the camera, download the pictures to a folder of choice, clean the camera, and unmount it. I’m excited to get this working. Maybe then I’d take more pictures.

I got ym exam back in Spanish today. It turns out I got a 95% on it. He deducted a point because I didn’t define Manifest Destiney, and I missed four of the matching. The grade is awesome, but I was really hoping for a 99%, because I’m psychotic like that. Still, considering I barely studied I’m very happy with the grade.

This afternoon my parents and I going car shopping. I swear. There’s no way I’m letting them out of it this time. I don’t even want a car right now. Well, I do, but what I really want is just some form of progress on the whole front. Speaking of the fact that I don’t own a car, my mother made me pay full car insurance this month, even though we’re not insuring my car. Let’s not mention that me not having a car makes Josh’s payment twice a much lower as my payment was to start with. I’m not sure where she got the figure, but it’s paid, and I don’t plan to contest it.
