On Senate File 33

Now Listening to: Following the Wind
Final Fantasy III: Eternal Legend of the Wind

I went to work today. I spent a lot of the morning pulling receivings for Kim. It took until about noon, as a matter of fact. I didn’t finish, but after lunch I decided that it was time to actually do my stuff for the rest of the day. This involved moving a lot of boxes from point A to point B. It was all mostly boring.

I came home from work and sent out a few e-mails about Senate File 33. I really hope that it passes, because there will finally be statewide protection on sexual orientation in almost every area necessary. I was reminding Dean to write his representatives, and he was just like, “Right…”

I couldn’t believe this sentiment from him! He is a man who could be fired no matter what he does, and could have it justified because he is gay. Yet he doesn’t think it’s important to stand up for his rights. I just don’t see it at all. Only thirteen states provide this kind of protection, and as much as we ask for it all the time, you’d think that the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and allied community would stand up for it. I bet a lot of the transgendered community would stand up for it too, just because if gender identity was introduced and I found out about it, I would be writing my representatives in favor of it all the way.
