Apply the CWE Theorem
I was trying to write bindings for a Visual C++ DLL for Visual Basic and the computer applications class came into the lab and started using the computers. For some reason, the department doesn’t think it would be a good idea to have some of the software on those computers installed everywhere.
In light of being kicked out of the lab, I decided to go visit Dr. Mitra. He gave me a book that doesn’t help; suggested I search Google; and referred me to Becca, who isn’t in her office.
I was really hoping to figure this out before break. If I could just write bindings life would be so much easier. I really need to learn this for real-world things, though. I get the feeling that at some point in my life, I’ll need to program for the Windows platform, and since I’m not learning about the Microsoft Foundation Classes, I should at least know how to build and reference my own dynamicly linked libraries from within other programming languages, such as Visual Basic. After all, it is the most popular programming language in the world.
On a brighter note, I got a B/B+ on my speech and it got lowered to a B/B- because I went over the time limit. The evaluation was really good, too! I had one inbetween “outstanding” and “satisfactory”, one “satisfactory,” and one that I didn’t meet (I was concerned about time). The rest were all “outstanding.” Go me.
