The Youth and Shelter Services people love me. I guess I’m going to do minor maintanence to their web site for volunteer/intern goodness. It’s not exactly the right field for me, but it does look good on a resume. At least I can say that I’ve worked for people with computers and that I know what it’s like to work within an organization. Coupled with Youth Alliance, it ought to look nice.

My computer doesn’t boot. I can’t figure out why. I went to use it today and that monitor wouldn’t turn on. The keyboard wouldn’t respond, either. I tried to restart it and it initialized the keyboard, but not the monitor. The keyboard then began flashing. Next time, the power button didn’t work. After unplugging it from the wall and trying several more times I get the same result–neither the keyboard or the monitor get initialized, hence the computer doesn’t boot. All the more reason to work on my software engineering project I guess.

So instead of working on my project, I played some Final Fantasy X for a few hours. It seemed like a Final Fantasy day. I’m almost done with that game. Of course, I have lots of work to do on the sphere grid in that game. Almost everyone is done with their chosen path, but I have high hopes for my characters this time. I also plan to get more aeons this time. Very exciting.

However, I am amidst working on software engineering now. High! Ho! encryption!

Now Listening to: The Perfect Drug
Nine Inch Nails

This weekend was good. Friday we went to Carol’s and there was much lughter. I thought that Monica Lee was going to wet herself at one point. It was great. That was all that happened Friday. Saturday, we went out with Carol and Kim. There was much mall goodness. Carol and Kim went psycho in the ladieswear section of JC Penny. Dean and I hung around. Then Carol ditched us (in a non-rude sort of way), and the three of us did something else. I forget.

We went to look at houses last night. That was fun too.

Today, Kim Mosby’s coming over for Dance Dance Revolution. I’m kind of excited, kind of not. I don’t know. I’m sure I’ll have a great time once the dancing commences, as I always do. She was supposed to come over earlier, but a friend called her and she has to go give him a ride. That’s fine, though.

The agenda for tonight is Youth Alliance goodness. Hopefully I’ll get home early enough to code some more too. Bess brought me Visual Studio CDs at work on Saturday so that I can code over break. I’m way not excited to code, because I suck at Visual Basic any more. Furthermore, if I don’t finish, the last two weeks of school are going to be hell. I guess the logic is that if I don’t start, I can’t run into problems. I will finish this week, though. The worst that could happen is that I get mostly done and finish on Tuesday.

Tomorrow I have to go to the Youth and Shelter Services people. They’re going to let me do web page maintenence for them. Of course, I’ll get no money, but it’s a resume builder.
