The College Adventure Episode VI: Logic Strikes Back
Tuesday, August 27th, 2002Continuing the college adventure, today was the first day of classes. It sucked, but that was a given. For a day that is predispositioned to suck, the day actually faired quite well. my physics professor is easy to understand when he speaks, unlike so many computer science professors. Also, on the way into physics this morning, I saw Angie who used to facilitate Safe Space. Exciting. I think physics is going to be a bitch.
When walking around campus later, I saw Kevin from work. Apparently he’s living in Ames and going to ISU now. Hold on, while I wipe the drool off my face. I’m pathetic, and I know it.
I also saw Elena from Spanish last fall in my adventures before discrete math (one of the three shunned, undergraduate computer science courses). She talked to me for a good while, which was kind of suprising. We talked in Spanish, but not that much, and it was an entire year ago now. It was still a nice talk.
Discrete math was odd. Luke is in that class, so it will help. He left his room number on my syllabus so that I can drop by to do homework with him. I’ll have to take advantage of that. I’m scared for that class, but I get the feeling that somehow I’ll do just fine.
I have speech lecture with Beth, too. That’s nice. Lecture was boring, but that class sounds easy for the most part.
The college adventure continues…
