They Went to Follow Their Dreams…
Prom went well. I honestly had a good time. I was expecting higher attendence, but oh well. It happens. The plus side of smaller attendence was that there were enough door prizes for everyone to get something. Some people got two things, even. I’m glad that it’s finally over. Things went well, and I just have to write thank yous now.
The only real complaint I got was about the DJ. I have no idea why, either. The only thing that Dean and I could come up with is that people were expecting him to either: play all of their music or play only one genre of music. The problem with both of those is that it was everybody’s prom. I have heard these complaints about disc jockeys just about every time that I’ve seen one at an event. I really wish that the people who complain would go try to disc jockey the “right” way themselves. I think they’d realize that no matter how hard they tried, they’d get complaints (unless it was for a select group of friends).
Dinner afterwards was nice. Good times. We had this waiter who gave us free stuff because he knew Rob. I’ve decided that I must go out to eat with Rob from now on, because he knows nice waiters. It was also good, because all I had eaten all night was candy and chips.
Also, during the event, I snuck over into the punk show and watched Jordan’s band play. That was fun. I have a neato Duck and Cover thing to put on my bag now. It’s pale pink. Yay!
Next up is the Film Festival, which happens on Friday. Adam and Kim Mosby are going to MC for the event, so I’m all excited. I’m doing raffle stuff that night. I assume I have tasks to accomplish before Friday. Also, I’m very concerned that attendence will be worse than prom. The reason is that I don’t think we’ve advertised at all. Eep.
