Now Listening to: Within the Giant, from Final Fantasy IV
Project Majestic Mix

It’s finally done. After five years, Project Majestic Mix: A Tribute to Nobuo Uematsu has arrived. The project started in 1997, and I donated way back in 1998. The $20 donation to help fund production was the last $20 I had at the time, so the donation was a pretty big sacrifice for me at that time, as I had no job.

I now have the Gold Edition of the CD. It came with an extra CD, sheet music, and my name is in the booklet for all editions of the CD. There are only 1500 of the Gold Edition to ever be produced. I have disc 0280 of 1500, forever authenticated by the numbering on the cover. It’s a great day to be a fan.

Melissa loved this song. She said it was probably her favorite song in any Final Fantasy game ever. She would have loved to hear it.

As for the quality of the music, it’s absolutely fantastic. I have a hard time believing that it can all truly be synthesized. And the packaging is fantastic. True to any fan’s dreams.

“Aiming at the Unstoppable Future and Embracing the Unyielding Wish”

So today consisted of nearly being late to work because Lynette got started on something and just wouldn’t stop talking. Like ten minutes after class should have been dismissed, she said, “Oh, it’s really late. Why didn’t anyone tell me?”

I thought, “Why do you think no one said anything. Last time we tried to leave early you whined. Maybe in some alternate universe, the time is really 11:59.” No matter, though. After some rushing for food, I was on my way.

Work involved UPS goodness. I had to box and prepare all of the large appliance center’s equipment to go out UPS to the Wal-Mart Star Complex tomorrow. When I finished that, I found out that like the next three boxes that I would work with were all UPS packages as well. I started non-UPS stuff about an hour before I was supposed to leave. There’s now this huge-ass blue cart full of stuff to send out tomrorow. This all excludes the vendor stuff that has to be done in the morning. Tomorrow is a good day for UPS ground delivery.

Last night I decided that I needed to play an old-fashioned RPG that I’d never heard of. Naturally, I fired up my browser and went to emultion sites. I downloaded SNES9x, the Magic Knights Rayearth RPG ROM, and the English language patch for that ROM. I know have the Magic Knight Rayearth RPG in English. It follows the anime almost to the letter, but it’s hella cool.
