Free Money
Monday, April 22nd, 2002I got my first credit card in the mail the other day. Someone actually wants to lend my money. It’s kind of frightening really. It’s like one more step towards being all grown up or something. Whatever, though. I maintain that, while I never intend to grow up, I’ll only mature. The advantage the card gives me is that I’ll not be so stressed about car repair, and I’ll have one more piece of financial independence from my parents (should I ever need it).
The parents got back from Chicago on Friday. I actually talked to them on the phone a bit. I think I came off as the “good son” instead of the “uncaring son” for a change. They got me a wallet for my minidiscs, so now I have to start making them in large quantities, because minidiscs are better than sliced bread, yo.
Friday I also went out to dinner with Dean, Cindy, Kim Pritchard, and her mother. It sounded like it might be kind of awkward, but it was actually a lot of fun. We all splurged and bought $5 desserts. They were really good. Mine had dark chocolate, which I love, but never get to eat.
Saturday, Dean and I went to the Stars Over VEISHA production of Grease. It was pretty good. It was obviously no Broadway production, but it was still really good. I was very impressed with the sets.
