ATM of Doom

Friday, March 22nd, 2002

Something’s wrong with my bank account. I can’t figure it out. No matter how many times I recount my various debits, nothing balances. Somehow my balance at the ATM is $180 less than at the bank. I can’t figure out what to trust.

They said that their computers have been down off and on all day. I wonder if that means that the ATM balance is computed from some figure that’s been floating around ATM Land or what.

I just bought new tires today, too. I went in for an alignment, and instead I got tires at Wal-Mart. The Car X people were really nice about me getting it done at the store, since it’s cheaper.

I had to use That Road to Johnston to get to my Wal-Mart. I sucessfully navigated it. Slowly, I’m putting together all of the random little pieces of Des Moines. One day, I’ll know what’s going on all of the time; then I will move.

Still, my bank account is way off. I’m very paranoid. It looks like tomorrow I’ll be going to the bank to deposit all of the cash I can get my hands on. That way, I’ll at least have enough money to cover my tires (just in case).

What to do?

Time Machine: Change of Plans

Tuesday, March 19th, 2002

This weekend was good. Everyone went to Iowa City, so that was cool. I spent Friday night at Dean’s. It was nice.

Saturday we hung out until 5:00, then I had to go to work. Nothing amazing happened. I did try to go on the quest for polyester. Instead, I procured “Action Slacks.” That was good, too. They’re a little large, but I think I know how I can fix them.

At work yesterday I spent the entire day writing out documentation on reports. We’re going to have Layaway Class, which will help me out a lot. Since Charlene’s been gone, I’ve been having to do five days worth of work each weekend. I’ve done all of the reports since the sixth of the month, and I’m tired. Saturday I was at work until almost eleven working on them, and I decided that I needed to leave since I was coming back in the morning.

Last night I met Mike, Ashli Lynn, Rob, and a girl named Lindsey at Java Joe’s. Chris and her brother stopped for a while, but they did not accompany us to the mall. The mall was fun, for no apparent reason.

Ashli Lynn hated it. She was freaking out, because the mall is full of “conformists.” I thought about this and decided that I don’t care. I have my opinions on what I think is write and wrong. I have enough unconforming interests, that I don’t feel that I can’t go to the mall or something like that. Furthermore, I am my own person.

After the mall we saw Time Machine. That movie was cool. The ogre things were gross, though. They seriously creeped me out. Afterwards, we were going to go to Perkins for dessert, but we didn’t. A shame.

I was going to go see Judgy today, but it turns out that he would need to leave at nine, so there wouldn’t be more than three hours to see him. We made plans to get together tomorrow. I plan to buy CDs, we’ll see how broke I feel tomorrow. Furthermore, there will be Xenosaga-goodness!

Dean tried to write me an e-mail at work about that. He wished me a good time enjoying the “Xenogear-goodness.” I informed him it was “Xenogears-goodness.” It was really cute, though.

Now I can’t decide if I should call Dean or stay home and play Chrono Cross.
