Last night was a long night. After struggling on two computer engineering problems I went to bed as I was getting nowhere. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the answers this morning either. This class is just extremely frustrating to me. It’s like Eric said in lecture today, “It’s like the labs, homework, and lecture are all in their own little worlds.” They regard the same stuff, but none of them really connect that well. I’d really like tighter integration of the three components of the course, I might learn better that way.

I talked to Dean on the phone last night. That was good. He sounded really tired, and I felt like I was keeping him, but I didn’t want to let him go, either.

Sleepiness abounds; and yet I have even more to get done tonight than last night. I think I’m going to skip the Alliance meeting for yet another consecutive week in favor of a nap this evening. I’m going to Beth’s to study for our databases test at 10:30 tonight, so who knows how late I might be awake. Hopefully not too late.

So after all of that sleep and finishing the things I thought I needed done today I forgot one thing: my Spanish lab homework. I spent a whole hour watching a stupid lab video from the eighties only to find out that I forgot to write the summary on it. That’s an hour of my life that I’ll never get back.

On the plus side, I feel mostly refreshed today. This was good, because when I walked into my first class the crazy, Red Bull-chugging, Hindu girl was lecturing. It was simultaniously the longest and fastest lecture I have ever been in. I found out that I have to write more Java in that lecture. I think crazy, Red Bull-chugging, Hindu girl is plotting against me and making me write Java. As a result, Beth made me a thingy that says “Java Boy” and colored it in during lecture and glued it to my notebook. I like it.

Well then, off to CprE lab!
