Last night I tried to install Windows 2000 on my computer. It took about three hours. Normall it would take something like thirty minutes (I’ve done it twice before), but this time Windows decided that it should delete my boot loader and make sure that the computer can only boot Microsoft operating systems. After the black screen reading “LI” at boot time, I worked with the Linux rescue disk to reinstall my boot loader and rewrite the options so that it would load Windows if I wanted to use Windows 2000, not because I had to use Windows 2000. Rarr.
I just had a really disturbing encounter with my French teacher from last semester. I saw him earlier today with Beth walking ot the Union for lunch, but we kept on walking. This time I found him in the bathroom and we both needed paper towels. I was basically forced to say hello to him and tell him that I was a Spanish student (he asked). Really, really ackward (sp?).
