I just found out that I’m going to an Alliance meeting with Chris, Vero, and Ryan tonight. This should be entertaining. Much laughing will ensue.

My math professor seems nice. He grades on partial credit, so that’s going to be helpful. Due to the meeting, I’m off to study instead of procrastinate (like I would if I went home). Mad productivity.

Things are good.

Now Humming: San Dimas High School Football Rules
The Ataris

I got up this morning and bought gas on the way to school. I stopped at the gas station in Slater, and Heidi (an employee) asked me for Kim’s phone number and things. Then I went in to pay and my old confirmation teacher was working. I though, “Oh great, I’m going to be late for school just because I stopped at the small-town gas station.” Luckily, I got out of there.

I drove to school and got to Lot 29 at a record time (10:43 am). I was proud. I went to find a parking spot, finally, at 11:00, which is when my class started, I darted into a spot. Parking is horrible. I can’t wait until people get frustrated and start going to the stadium so I can have a parking spot again. Because of the parking fiasco, I was late for class for a completely different reason. Luckily, Kildee has a back entrance to the auditorium.

Class was good, we learned useless things about binary, and I moved on for the day. Lunchtime. I’m sitting there eating, and who walks up? Jessica T. from Wal-Mart! I was happy to see her, I had no idea that she was going to Iowa State. We had a nice, but long, lunch together. I missed Joseph, and we made eye contact and waved at one point during lunch. I think I gave him the impression that I dislike him or something. I just missed him when I was sitting down, and, quite honestly, eating lunch with the same guy every day would get old. He can be difficult to talk to at times because he gets so excited and on a track that you can’t get a word in.

I took her to her next class and went to Spanish. Spanish was mostly good. I met a new kid named Dao. We talked about where we were from and stuff for an activity and continued to talk after class. He was going to Marston, myself to Durham. Spanish makes me nervous, though. It’s just been son long since I’ve actually used my Spanish that I don’t always understand everything.

Furthermore, the words don’t always come to mind right away. It’s the little things that I forget. For instance, I couldn’t remember the verb for “to think,” Dao suggested “creer,” which worked for the sentence, but it wasn’t the one I was thinking of. I just now remembered “pensar,” which is more what I meant in the sense of pondering. I’m hoping that this comes back faster. I may need to make flash cards. Who knows?

So, despite all of the bad, things are good.

I got Linux working on my computer over the last two days. It works now. I can even connect to the Internet and do most of what I like. I’m way happy about that. I’m still working out all of the little productivity bugs, though. Relearning my routines. I prefer the UNIX philosophy for computing, so this makes a good match. Good times with Linux. Good times.
