I finished my English essay. It’s not too bad, but it doesn’t cover all of the points the author made in his piece. That bothers me because there are so many great examples the author uses, and I can use like one on the whole paper because there isn’t room. He makes some points that I couldn’t summarize either, but I think I made a good enough generalization (unfotunately, I did have to generalize) of what he meant to say. 387 words. I figure fuck the reccommended size, it’s like four sentences. Half of the extra words are taken up by my thesis alone, so she’ll have to deal with it. I had to sacrifice an introduction and good conclusion, and that’s all that’s coming out of this essay.
It was fricking Aqualand in Ames today. All of the snow was melting, it was raining, and there were puddles everywhere. I was beginning to think that fish were going to start mass transportation via the streets and sidewalks.
Japanese started today. I walked in a little late because French ran late (long movie, but pretty good). I walked in and took a look at the chalkboard and there was hiragana everywhere. I thought, “Is this the right room? Of course it is, I had class with those two last semester.” Five minute later one of the instructors, Maya, asks, “How many of you can read hiragana?” Like two students raised their hands, the other six of us were just like, “Yeah, we’re cool.” I have two teachers this semester, though. This should prove interesting. Ippei and Maya. Remember those names because I may not state their purpose in future writings. Oh, and there will be a quiz over who they are next week, so everyone study hard.
