Okay, so it’s been a hell of a long time. Sorry. I’ve been sort of preoccupied. Lately I’ve been playing video games a good amount. It’s been fun, I beat the FF5 remake. That’s such a good game. Now I’m working on FF7 because I don’t want to buy Legend of Mana quite yet.
Work’s been basically normal for me. Check people out, get paid for it. Checking is getting that repetitive feel lately. Rather, it was until about last Friday. Then I had some time off, and they started to train me in Layaway. I checked again tonight and it was cool, so all is well with the world. In addition to working Layaway last night, the Head CSM working tonight(who also sent me back there last night) asked me how things went last night, what I thought of Layaway, if I’d like to do it again, and how old I was. The age thing probably had to do with possibly training me for Service Desk(you must be eighteen to work there, and possibly Layway too, but I doubt that). She said I’d probably be working back there to fill in and things more this summer, so I’m gonna get cross-trained for something actually useful. I have quite a lot of cross-training, but most of it I can’t use at all; this would actually be something I could use.
Lewis and Nic spent the night Monday night. Nic and I were talking on the phone and we couldn’t find anything to do, so we figured we’d try doing what we always used to do when we were younger, play video games into the wee hours of the night. AH yes, I haven’t been so submerged into total geekiness in a LONG time. We watched the Making of Lunar video to try and get my PlayStation to play movies from other discs(which didn’t work, damn Working Designs). I have to say, the main difference between their geekiness and our’s is that we know how to speak and don’t sound incomprehensible when talking about data compression of text, etc.
Nic and I watched some Fushigi Y?gi Tuesday morning, too. I love that series. I really wanna watch more, I should have gone and rented some, but that would have eaten gas and I don’t have much opportunity to return them anyway, so it’s okay. Still, I have to listen to the soundtrack now. I like it. I like it lots.
I’ve been semi-bothered lately. Bleh. I’m not entirely sure what it is that’s bothering me. I have an idea, but it’s not a fully formed one, and I’m not about to share it here. That’s what friends and my paper journal is for. I know this makes no sense, I mean only my friends seem to read this thing anyway, but I prefer discuss it with certain people, if at all. Right now the paper journal is seeming to be the best option.
I had my ISU orientation too. That was okay. I think I feel a lot more ready for college life and whatnot now. It should be cool, I’m semi-excited. I don’t think I could ever get really hyped for school to start, I just prefer the stress free life to school, but I find school important enough to deal with it.
I bought a new video game too, Shadow Madness. C’est tr?s amusant. It was used, and it has some problems(like the last disc is missing), but I can get over it. It was cheap after all, and it’s pretty entertaining as I stated before.
I’m sitting here, sipping a cup of green tea, trying to think of other things that have happened to me since I last updated that I care to write about. I’m drawing a blank. I feel the urge for a third gladd of tea, but I think that might be pushing it. Still, this stuff tastes really good to me tonight… moreso than usual.
